My previous gen closure is thin, secure and comfortable for sure. My 5712/1A has a tight deployant buckle - requiring a good amount of pressure at the correct angle to release the first half of the buckle and then I can wriggle it into a position to apply pressure more easily on the other half of the buckle. Mine is tight.

it could, but PP wouldn't do this. At least that's what I was told when I asked my AD last year. You might just check with your AD.
