A trip to Sorrento, Coast of Amalfi, Italy.

Me and my wife Anna visited Sorento recently. We were there a week and the trip included trips to several locations in the area.

We went guided bus tour from Sorrento to Positano. It was on winding roads with great views. From Positano, we took the boat to Amalfi. Then the bus back to Sorrento. One day we went to Pompeii. An amazing experience to see this old city that once was covered in ash after the nearby Mount Vesuvius. One day we took the boat to the island of Capri. There, we visited the famous Swedish doctor Axel Munthe, who fell in love with the island and built a large house on the hill above the village. A spectacular view it was. We also did a boat trip around Capri, an amazing experience with caves and azure blue waters. Hope you like some of the photos we took during our stay.

Was that the Blue Grotto? Thought I recognized the entrance from a trip I took many years ago. Also loved the porn at Pompeii ;-)

No it's not the blue caves. There was a long queue to take a small boat slip in there. It was not worth the wait. It was interesting with the "house" with porn images in Pompeii. Even then ..... /Anders

So you have also been there. What did you like best in this area? I found the village of Positano was wonderful and the boat trip around Capri was fine. Regards Anders
