From Macao to Timor
Mar 27, 2014,23:10 PM
We start with a make believe world...
a world without day or nite or the idea of where we are.
move on to the real world with real people...
many many real people...
until we arrive at a sign before the ruin...
following the sign might lead you to here...
and to the best marriage of east and west. Pork chop from the east, bun from the west
and another great marriage: rice noodle and fried chicken wing
And this is the best invention of an evil genius: fish ball with curry sauce.
At nite, we should try a Portuguese restaurant in an ex Portuguese colony. Start the nite with loaves of bread and a super chill Bock beer
Portuguese or Chinese food? Who cares...
Goes very well with Bock
Wash the guilt with stuffing yourself silly with pork with a healthy sardines grilled
After stuffing yourself silly in Macau and dancing to a geriatric band performing their greatest hits, maybe we should find quiet and solitude in Timor. And what a view to dine for.
Work a little work. Most retail shops are owned by foreigners: Indonesian and Chinese. The boss of this store came directly from China.
Fresh seafood, anyone?
Take a rest. Chill out with a coconut
The road to Jesus...
Similar to the one in Rio? Hhhmm...
The view from the top. Anybody want to open a hotel there?
After climbing to meet Jesus, it's time to head back to the beach and follow the smoke...
smoke and a crowd are always a good sign of good food
Yup yup yup
sinful food (but tasty)
Beautiful, aren't they?
Intestine, anyone?
Any drink to wash down the fat? Of course. Beer it is!
Busy grilling
snack by the beach
at nite when we wanted to buy cards to kill the time, we went to this store. Fresh off China. It's like looking at history of Chinese migration to the south
Get papa's blessing before boarding the plane
