A trip in Bourgogne. Part II: Pommard.
Pommard is a small town, close to Beaune and to Dijon., at 300 kilometers , South east, from Paris.
The place is well known for the wine, the famous " Chateau Pommard ".
The Chateau was recently bought by Mr Giraud, who is also an Art collector, as you will see...
Charm, Beauty and Art... This is the magic blend I offer you to discover through these pictures.
I had the big surprise to discover some créations from Dali, such as these very well known clocks:
Don't you have the feeling to know them very well, especially the Cartier Fans among us?
Some of these pièces of Art belong to the castle owner.
The courtyard is just magnificient.

Just to give you an idea of the size of these barrels...
The precious wineyard... The ground has 4 different compositions, which has a logical influence on the wines. After, it is all a matter of blend, a tough alchemy, all an art.
The Castle, and its impressive kitchen:
The most important place of the Castle is the wine cellar, of course.
The temperature is constant, 18° C, as well as the humidity ( 85% ) which is capital for the evolution in time of the corks, then of the wine.
The place is breathtaking. The Cellar is huge, as you can expect it, but what you are seeing is just incredible. Thousands and thousands of bottles, everywhere
A last picture, of an old door which was hidden during the second world war, to keep the production safe.
If you have the opportunity to visit the Chateau, don't hesitate, and do it...

The cellar is great..
but the kitchen is awesome I can easily imagine Bastardos Gang around it sharing good time ;) best D
