Holiday dining at Le Cirque

Dec 12, 2014,16:37 PM

I've been wanting to post this earlier.  For our Thanksgiving holiday dinner, we usually have a home cooked meal with all the fixin's however this year we decided to do a little bit of travel and visit Las Vegas for the holiday.  It was very festive and surprisingly crowded.  For Thanksgiving dinner we dined at Le Cirque at the Bellagio Resort and Casino.

Choice of either the white truffle tasting or the Thanksgiving holiday menu.  My dining companion, the colorful and fun Silberstein Rondo GMT.

Amuse bouche of creamy chilled corn chowder.

Lobster salad with avocado and black truffle vinaigrette

A generous portion of sauteed foie gras with a dragon heart plum, lavender, pistachio, ginger gastrique

Pan seared diver scallop with Alba White Truffles.  So fragrant and delicious!

Potato crusted Mediterranean sea bass

And finally our main course the organic roasted turkey duo with porcini mushrooms, cranberry relish, and sweet potato mousse.  This was the most tender and flavorful roasted turkey that I've ever had.

Next is a pre-dessert of hazelnut sorbet

Le Cirque's version of apple pie

Chocolate sphere with gold leaf.  Hot chocolate sauce was served tableside and melted the sphere.  Reminds me of the Guy Savoy dessert.

Mignardise shared for the table.  Meringue, cream puff, lemon tart, and pistachio cake.

As a take home gift from LeCirque, a cute little box with two chocolate truffles.

Happy Holidays!

The chocolate ball was visually stunning and fun to watch it melt. No wines for us this time, we had to stay up and concentrate on the casino floor afterwards LOL. Regards, ED-209

Thanks for reading the post. Both are highly recommended and hope you get to visit Vegas soon. Do you have any favorite restaurants in Vegas? We're always looking to try new places, anything including hole-in-the-wall eateries too. Regards, ED-209

Every city I go, I always find their nice restaurants...last time in Vegas, had steak in Carnevino's steakhouse, aged 9 months, then next day at Cut for their Wagyu steak with bone marrows... Awe...you make me want to go Vegas again. Live happy, eat while...

Very nice
