The next night we dined at Picasso. This is a two Michelin star restaurant also located at the Bellagio. I've only dined here once before many years ago when they first opened. Not sure why we haven't been back since, but I'm glad we did because we had a great meal here.
The restaurant features paintings from Pablo Picasso throughout the restaurant.
Amuse bouche of almond soup and fried basque cheese with iberico ham.
Tasting menu was excellent. We started with the Alaskan king crab salad with a apple champagne vinaigrette
One of the best dishes of the evening, poach oysters with Osetra caviar and vermouth sauce.
Pan seared U10 day boat scallop
Sautéed foie gras 'steak' with a poached crab apple and roasted almond sauce.
Another foie gras dish, Foie gras au Torchon with wild huckleberry sauce
Roasted loin of Colorado lamb with tempura zucchini flower
Roasted pigeon with wild rice risotto.
Desserts IMO were a little weak. Presentation was nice though.
Cirtrus bombe of tangerine and blood orange glacees
And chocolate torte with cream cheese mouse and strawberry jellie
We really enjoyed our meal here at Picasso and would definitely come back just for the oysters and roasted pigeon.
Happy Holidays!
