NEW feature for those using WhatsApp: 'WhatsApp WEB'

Jan 22, 2015,00:01 AM

When I was out in Asia, almost everyone I noticed was using the app WhatsApp to communicate.  For those using it, they just had an update to their app (Android, Windows, and BlackBerry.  not available yet with iOS) that allows a feature called WhatsAPP Web.  If you look at the options list you will see the WthatsApp Web, click on it and go to here:   web.whatsapp.com using Chrome as the  browser.  A QR code will pop up and you scan it with your phone.  Now it will mirror all your messages on your computer!  You get all your messages and can reply without having to pick up your phone!

Pretty cool huh?

For some WhatsApp users they have gotten the Calling feature enabled. It seems some are getting activated once they receive a call from another WhatsApp user. -MW

Stumbled over your WhatsApp post just today, Ming. - Nice feature, you mentioned there:

Here in the States, the advantage is that not everyone has a unlimited txt plan or it's a costly add on. WhatsApp uses data/wifi so you only need voice and data on your carrier. We had a rain storm yesterday here in L.A., right now it's a nice and sunny! ...

Ok, sounds a real good solution for the US. - Here in EU & my country specifically, sms-txt is mostly an ad-on to the plan.

Eg: in my case 3000 (!) free text-messages are included.. But again - it will be nice to have it, thx . We are about to really enter full spring temps & weather this week - thus, also nice & sunny.. hs
