Star Alliance Lounge LAX @ Tom Bradley International Terminal
Jan 26, 2015,00:01 AM
On my flight out to Asia, I had a chance to visit the Star Alliance Lounge at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Located on level 6, the lounge has been remodeled last year so I was excited to check it out. Once I got past the security screening I headed up the elevators...
Some places scan your ticket, I flew EVA AIr so they utilized separate card passes:
The view from the 6th floor of the Tom Bradley Terminal 3. There are plenty of places to eat and shops to visit:
The Star Alliance lounge has a terrace that overlooks the terminal:
A bar is located both inside and outside areas, here's the one on the terrace:
The lounge offers hot and cold foods and a large variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic, beverages. I had a huge dinner prior to arriving at the airport so I had some of the lighter items. The cookies were really good, the mushroom/eggplant wrap was tasty!
There was a dessert selection, the red velvet chocolate cake was delicious!

The inside of the lounge has facilities for 8 shower stalls, Media Room, and a smaller library-like room (it had wallpaper that looked like shelves of books!). Since it was busy it was really hectic inside, especially the buffet/beverage area. I wondered out to the terrace for a more peaceful environment:
The Star Alliance lounge passengers offers free use of iPads, complimentary internet, and printing/office services. At each table between the comfortable lounge chairs are plug in charging stations.
Sine this is large lounge, they announce boarding times. Other lounges I have visited, the staff will personally inform you of when the plane will be boarding. The overhead announcement system was hard to hear so make sure you set your alarm clock so you don't miss your flight.
Another look over the terrace before we head to the gate:
