My tribute to Paris and France
Nov 19, 2015,20:19 PM
Great theme Blommam. I have not posted since last October 2014 but I visit regularly . Just to prove I do visit , I know Thomas Mao was profiled in Robbs Report and gentleman Mark in Paris is now a Patek moderator ( warm congratulations ). On my wrist is my JLC Reverso " Bleu" with a Bleu jacket with the inner lining in the French TRICOLOR . Wishing everyone a great weekend. I will mention that in my first visit to Paris and France in 1996, I was in the midst of terrorist attacks . The only difference being it was not ISSIS but the PLO, the Japanese Red Army and the Baader Meinhoff terrorists . My wife and I walked past the Gendarme sentry guarding the entrance to the police complex by the river Seine and just 20 minutes later whilst we were in the Galleries La Fayetteville store down the road , a terrorist bomb went off in the sentry's box. We climbed 3/4 up the Eiffel Tower to take photos and not long after we climbed down , a bomb blew up the TV and telecommunications equipment on top of the tower. We were also in the same same underground station the night before the bomb blast that killed and maimed so many people. We are in 2015 and these atrocious terrorists acts are happening again. Hope and pray everyone in Paris and everywhere else will be spared from this madness.
Cheers , dreamer
