.. I can totally relate to this pictorial, as I have visited there,
many times, trying to absorb the flavors of this pearl,
enjoying every time like 'de novo', La Serenissima..
Your pics of San Marco, the Campanile, the view on to
S. Giorgio Maggiore trigger wonderful memories, and
recall the many magnificent views, such as to S. Maria de la Salute.
( eg: by sitting just opposite on the terasse of the Monaco Grand Canal
Hotel, and watching water & life passing by).
Also the back views of the small canali e canaletti are special,
on many occasions finding another corner, another hidden sight..
Where a view on the Canale Grande from the Academia bridge or Rialto
or looking on the facades of the Palazzi from the Vapporetto or a Gondola..
lets one immerse into another reality and world .
Not to forget the moments of quiescence, of tranquillity, when visiting off-season
or sitting, after all day-time visitors have mounted their boats, just
with an Espresso Macchiato or Campari Soda in the Café Florian...
Finally just wanted to say again, how much I enjoyed your pictorial report,
as it is one of those, bringing back very nice moments of life..
Best & HAGWE !
