Dance Hall
Jul 02, 2013,00:02 AM
The Dance Hall is where all the action is, everyone in town gathers here
for food, drinks, and entertainment. Think of it as the town
meeting area.
Sine it's 120+ miles from
Vegas, I guess they also like poker. How's the saying
go? 'Liquor in the front, Poker in the
rear' =O
Long communal tables and
bench chairs line the Dance Hall. This is the only place to
get food at the Hualapai Ranch. They serve breakfast, lunch,
and dinner. If you are a guest and staying overnight in the
cabins, the Dance Hall is open 24 hours for unlimited water, drinks,
juice, and coffee. Very convenient as there aren't any 7-11's
or Circle K's around. Outside food is not permitted at either
the Hualapai Ranch, Guano Point, or Eagle Point, but each location does
have dining options.
Ticket's
Please!
Looks take a look at the
menu, from my understanding this is what is offered year
round. Our first meal when we arrived was dinner and had a
choice of either BBQ ribs or Baked Chicken. As we were staying
at the cabins overnight they gave us all the sides instead of choosing
just 2 items.
The mac salad was good,
the cornbread and mash potatoes were pretty standard cafeteria
fare. The chocolate cookie was tasty and satisfied my craving
for sweets.
For the main course I had
the ribs. It's slathered in a bunch of sauce.
Nothing worth noting, don't expect fine dining or gourmet cooking out
here. It's suppose to be rough out in the old west so I guess
that's their excuse.
In the morning we got top
sample the breakfast. Eggs, hot oatmeal, and pork sausage
patties with a make your own toast section. A variety of cold
cereals were offered too.
You can get plain
scrambled eggs or the ones I got, the scrabbled eggs with bacon and
cheese. The sausage patties were yummy and they had served
good bread for the make your toast. However the eggs were the
instant kind, kinda gross but I'm hungry. Doused it with a
bunch of ketchup and it was ok. For the fresh fruit, it's
either banana or apple.
Some of the decorations
on the wall.
Old west cooking
utensils. Imagine being out in the desert on the trails and
making a fire fire every night?
Kitchen closes at 9pm but
there is entertainment for a bit longer into the night.
Next up, Crowe Illusions
and the Singing
Cowboy!
