They don't, only place that I ever had a French Dip with rare beef was in the Quincy area out in Boston at Joe's American Bar & Grill...it was fantastic!

Do they offer a medium rare version? Every French Dip I have ever had was alway well done and I much prefer rare - medium rare. JerryW

I always go to Würstkuche and The Pie Hole when I am in downtown LA. Now I'll try Philippe's as I do enjoy French Dip sandwiches.

but I have been to Portillo's Italian beef with peppers...I think is really good. I go to one in buena park though.

We did Portillo's a feew months ago when I had visitors in town doing the Disney/Knott's thing. Have you tried Al's Italian Beef? They opened one in Alhambra last year, it's pretty good: Italian Beef sandwich with sweet peppers and provolone! The are conn...
