Bella Vista Four Seasons The Biltmore
Jul 20, 2014,00:50 AM
In the Montecito/Santa Barbara area is a well known hotel, the Four Seasons Biltmore. Opened in 1927, it's a popular destination. The 22 acre property is beautiful with Butterfly Beach across the way...what a gorgeous day!
One of the reasons for our visit is to Bella Vista for Sunday brunch...
There is a main dining room but we were fortunate to be seated on the corner of the outside patio.
Since we are directly across the street from the beach, you could hear the sounds of the waves crashing onto the beach! Not only was it a beautiful sunny day, there was a nice light breeze flowing. Yes, this is why we live in California!
A glass of freshly squeezed orange juice while we take in the ocean view...
The Bella Vista serves a Brunch Buffet on Sundays so we got to sample a variety of items...
Lots of sushi, snow crab, large black tiger shrimp, and oysters. On the above pic on the right is a truffle infused bacon topped deviled egg...IMO the best item of the brunch!
They also had a paprika dusted deviled egg but definitely the winner is the truffle version.
There was a cutting board section that sliced prime rib and rack of lamb for you. The salmon was pretty good as was the selection from the charcuterie and cheese station.
5 types of cavier roe were available. 3 of the 5 were my favorite, tobiko! The blini were light and airy, splash on some creme fraiche and add some chopped hard boiled eggs and I'm good to go!
Can't be a brunch without bacon...and more truffled infused deviled egg topped with bacon. A little bit of salad to make it look healthy LOL!
California roll since we are in California.
That seared Ahi tuna sashimi was tasty. OK one more deviled egg, I swear it's the last one I'll get...
At this point we're all stuffed but of course there's always room for dessert. The mango and peach pudding was a refreshing way to start...
As we were guests of a fellow PuristS who frequents the Biltmore, the staff presented them with some fresh chocolate dipped strawberries and truffles...
Long time ago when I was active with the car clubs that caravan to the Four Seasons for the brunch, they had a chocolate fondue fountain. The have replaced it with individual jars instead...
it's still warm...
Let's see if it's any good...
Yuumy, let's try one of their giant strawberries...
The food was decent but the highlight was hanging out with close friends and the views of the beach. Needless to say it was a great weekend!
