Padaro Beach Grill
Jul 20, 2014,00:51 AM
Santa Claus Lane (yep you read that right, there's a exit off the 101 freeway called Santa Claus Lane!!!) in Carpenteria is our next destination...
This place is packed with beach goers...
In this area adjacent to the beach are a set of stores, businesses, and 2 restaurants. There's a BBQ joint a few stores away but we're headed to the Padaro Beach Grill:
It's always busy and here's why:
They have a nice outdoor area for diners and a large sand box play area is set up for the kiddies. Picnic tables are all around and some have a canopy for some shade. The weather was perfect today! Sunny but not too hot.
Ice cold Coke for me...
We got a few things to try...
Their most popular item is the Prime Burger:
The Prime Burger comes with carmalized bourbon onions and their honey dijon mustard sauce. Added some bacon and cheese to my burger.
Next up we did the Fish and Chips. Padaro uses red snapper...
Fish Tacos, you can order grilled or baja style. The pico de gallo and handmade tortillas really stood out.
Onion rings were excellent as were the sweet potato fries, perfect sides to accompany the rest of the food...
Of course the views on the other side were spectacular...
The train tracks are active so occasionally a Amtrack would fly by!
The Padaro Beach Grill is great, quality and taste of the food is amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic. If you are ever headed up the coast make sure you stop by and have lunch here!
