Golden Leaf @ The Conrad

Our stay at the Conrad Pacific Place was fantastic. It's convenient to public transportation and has restaurants in shopping downstairs. The view is amazing too!

While there are many great restaurants in Hong Kong, the ones inside hotels are pretty good. AT the Conrad they have several dining options. We head to the lover level:
The Golden Leaf:
Our visit was during the Christmas season so they had everything decked out at the Conrad in holiday motif. The ambiance was very cozy and definitely had the festive holiday spirit!

We ordered the Pur -er tea, very tasty!
I already checked out their menu online but looked over the menu for their seasonal items:
A spiy soy and a XO-sauce. They had large pieces of dried scallop and shrimp in the XO sauce, it accompanied the dishes really well and provided a mild heat.
Our first dish is the crispy Suckling Pig. The skin was light, crispy, and very little fat...excellent!
The Roasted Crispy Duck with a light plum sauce:
Next we have one of the two standout dishes at Golden Leaf...Steamed Fresh Crab Claw with minced ginger and rice wine:
Another standout was this: The Baked Crab Meat and Onion stuffed Crab Shell...
The shiny golden crab tray was kinda neat but the dish was amazing!
Lightly baked with a bread crumb topping, it was filled with chunks of crab meat.
The spinach and crab meat was served in a light broth, we all enjoyed this dish as well:
For our last dish we went with the house special Golden Leaf Fried Rice.
