Pacific Place: Tien Yi
Jan 20, 2015,00:04 AM
In the Pacific Place shopping center they have a restaurant off in the corner...Tien Yi
It's not as busy as the neighboring Peking Garden as it's kinda hidden and doesn't have an open area. When we were seated at our table it was kinda quiet with only 2 other tables filled, not a good sign when the other restaurants in the mall were packed. So was it any good? Let's find out...
We picked the Iron Buddah tea, it tasted like the light version and was very good.
The interior dining room was very modern and they had a huge bar in the corner.
We begin with a Suckling Pig and Roast Duck appetizer. They did an amazing job with both items.
Stuffed Crab Shell was full of crab, their version was one of the better ones that I had on this trip to Hong Kong!
Giant Fresh Prawn in Soy was also a standout...it was so good I had another order
Shanghai Pork Rib, excellent!
Julienne cut Scallops on Fried Veggie filled Tofu and greens:
Chinese greens cooked with shallots:
I think people might get the impression that Tien Y is too fancy and mistakenly pass up on this place. IMO it's much better than Peking Garden and the highly recommended Yi Shanghai!
